Why did we choose the town of Mindelo on Sao Vicente as the location for our property and why did we call it Copacabana after Rio de Janeiro’s most famous beach? Well, Sao Vicente, discovered on St Vincent’s Day (January 22) in 1462, is the second most heavily populated island in Cape Verde, and Mindelo is its largest town. It used to be known as a British refuelling port, but is now more famous as the home of the international music festival known as Baia des Gatas held in August. Mindelo’s vibrant nightlife has also gained widespread fame in recent times, as more and more bars and nightclubs spring up in the town.
All this, and we haven’t even told you about the town’s outstanding natural beauty and its rows of streets lined with charming, multi-coloured colonial facades. Add to that some fabulous white sand beaches that line the long bay that the town faces, a great carnival scene, and the beautiful harbour with its bustling market, and you will surely agree that there can be no better location for an apartment complex. You will also see why we chose the name for it that we did!
The building boom in Dubai has seen many a splendid complex come up in specially designated zones that offer numerous amenities, both commercial and residential.
