Areias Coloridas Resort

The Brazilian state of Ceara is famous for its miles of nearly deserted beaches and sand dunes. It has a varied environment, with mangroves, caatinga, jungle, scrubland and tropical forest and it is hot almost all year round. This environment and temperature attracts many tourists, especially eco tourists. The endless stretches of sandy beach is a major tourist attraction for foreigners and Brazilians alike and Fortaleza alone receives over half a million tourists annually.

The Morro Branco is approximately 70km from the airport south of Fortaleza, the road from the city passes through the Aqua Park in Porto das Dunas. The nearest village is the Vila do Morro Branco – located on the coast in the municipality of Beberibe. The view of the cliffs (known as falesias) and beach from the sea is stunning, and typical of this area of the Brazilian coastline showing the layers of pastel coloured rock and matching coloured sand.

The Areias Coloridas will be built alongside cliff top at Morro Branco looking immediately out to the ocean and will comprise 450 residential units when completed in 3 phases. Phase 1 will release 186 apartments, a sport centre and commercial zone. Building work for the project will start at the end of 2006 and phase 1 is expected to be complete within 24 months. There are plans also to build a golf resort on the south end of the beach at Lagoa Uruau.

€57-64,000: 1bed with separate bedroom/bathroom and balcony (54-60m2)
€73-76,000: 2bed. Including one ensuite master bedroom with private balcony and kitchen diner with separate balcony(86m2)
Also available are studios and 3 beds. Apartment cost ranges from €51,150 for a 54.10m2 studio to €190,000 for 284.64m2 3 bed apartment including 91.20m2 of outside space.

Making a reservation:

There are only two payments required to purchase an apartment in the Areias Coloridas resort plus an initial deposit of £4000 to reserve it. Initial payment is 35% expected at the start of works and a further 65% once the build has finished.
