A geographer will tell you that Ilha do Sal (Portuguese for the Island of Sal) is the oldest and flattest island in the archipelago of Cape Verde and is the closest landmass to the West African coast, and that it was formed 50 million years ago by a volcanic eruption. However, dry figures can do nothing to give you an idea of the sheer beauty of Sal’s windswept landscape and ravishing beaches, not to mention its picturesque houses and lovely streets. These were what induced us to locate the Sal Atlantis complex on the island, and we are sure you will agree with our choice.
Historically, Sal has been famous for its salt flats, though its prime sources of income today are tourism and fishing. However, the huge crowds of tourists which throng the world’s renowned seaside destinations like the Caribbean islands are absent here. Tourism, like everything else on Sal, moves at a leisurely pace without losing any sense of fun and exuberance.
Our well-appointed apartments in the Sal Atlantis complex are aimed to provide every kind of comfort to the inhabitants, in keeping with the leisurely, relaxed tempo of life on Sal. Thus the complex includes, among other amenities, a water park, shops, sports facilities, a casino and conference facilities so you have every kind of recreation virtually at your doorstep.
What’s more, all the apartments are fully furnished, and the kitchen is fitted out with appliances including pots, pans and cutlery. The living room comes with a television set (a satellite and terrestrial antenna are part of the apartment block system), light fittings and even pictures on the walls, while the bedroom furniture includes bed sheets, bedside lights, bedside tables, and wardrobes and the fully equipped bathroom is thoughtfully supplied with towels. These are the little details we enjoy paying attention to.
Each apartment also has its own power arrangements and independent control panel, with a cut out box, control equipment and power points in an embedded box, covered with a resin front plate. There is also an emergency light in the access area. Besides, an entry phone serves each apartment, with an electrical control for opening the pedestrian access gate to the residence and an external push button panel.
All electrical installations at Sal Atlantis use flexible, protective tubing to be supplied with insulated conducting cables, manufactured according to international safety regulations, and fitted with an appropriate general earthing system.
